The budget for next year does not include funds to increase the salaries of deputies and government members. This was stated by Vice Minister of Finance Abzal Beisenbekuly. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
In 2022, Tokayev introduced a five-year moratorium on raising the salaries of government members, regional akims, and deputies. Its term expires this year. Meanwhile, the government has already prepared the budget for the next three years.
According to Vice Minister of Finance Abzal Beisenbekuly, due to the expiration of the moratorium, no funds are provided for raising the salaries of deputies and government members.
"We have an approved remuneration system. We have not introduced any changes in terms of salary payments. According to the procedure, there is a coefficient, it depends on work experience. It will be paid exactly the same way," Beisenbekuly said in an interview with a Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent.
It is worth noting that recently, deputies of the Kurultai published their salaries. Five years ago, Majilis deputies received approximately the same remuneration.
