The Ak Zhol faction at the Kurultai raised the issue of changing the exam for obtaining a driving licence. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to deputy Meiram Shynasilova, today people have to wait a long time for the exam at specialised public service centres.
"Sometimes it drags on for up to 6 months. The booking mechanism is not transparent, and it is unclear to whom and how a place is given. And where there is a shortage and no transparency, paid intermediaries inevitably appear," Shynasilova said at today's Kurultai session.
Faction deputies sent several proposals to the government on this issue:
- 01Extend the working hours of specialised public service centres until 20:00 to reduce queues;
- 02Use the base of the National Testing Centre and the Agency for Civil Service Affairs to increase the number of venues for theoretical and practical exams;
- 03Involve private structures and private driving ranges that meet the established uniform requirements in exam administration through accreditation;
- 04Carry out exam registration only through eGov and eGov Mobile.
