Speaking at a government meeting, the minister reviewed the results of measures to regulate medicine prices. According to digital monitoring data, prices for more than 50% of medicines in circulation remained stable, while prices for 799 drugs decreased.
«In accordance with the head of state's instruction, in order to increase the variety of medicines on the market, state price regulation measures were removed for all over-the-counter drugs, as well as for prescription drugs priced below one monthly calculation index. According to initial results, prices for 90% of medicines have decreased. This is a positive result,» said Alnazarova.
She also noted that the new model for purchasing medical devices will help prevent unjustified price increases. «According to preliminary estimates, prices for some medical devices are planned to be reduced from 25% to 90%.
