Special prosecutors of Akmola region have completed the investigation of a criminal case into a fire at the 'Center Plova Loft' cafe. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The cafe tenant, the director of a gas filling station, and the person who supplied the gas have been brought to criminal responsibility. Their actions are classified under Part 3 of Article 292 (violation of fire safety requirements) and Part 3 of Article 306 (provision of services not meeting safety requirements) of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Special prosecutors established a direct causal link between the violations of safety requirements and the severe consequences. The final decision on the case will be made by the court.

Recall that on February 26 of this year, a gas cylinder explosion occurred followed by a fire. As a result, 12 people died and another 11 sustained various injuries. The building owner also suffered material damage on an especially large scale.
