Astana is hosting the fourth and final day of the international festival Comic Con Astana 2026 on August 9. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
One of the main events of the final day will be the conclusion of the cosplay contest. Final performances of participants are taking place on the main stage of Barys Arena. Cosplayers present images of characters from films, TV series, comics, anime, and video games, created by their own hands. After the performances, organizers will announce the winners of the contest.
This year's headliners of the festival are actors Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Paul Anderson, Iñaki Godoy, and Taz Skylar. Throughout Comic Con, they participated in meetings with audiences, talked about their careers and work on famous projects, answered fans' questions, and held photo and autograph sessions.
In 2026, Comic Con Astana takes place on two venues. Barys Arena hosts stage performances, meetings with invited actors, and other main events.
The Alau Ice Palace houses exhibition and gaming zones, themed stands, interactive areas, and a festival market.
A separate part of the program is dedicated to video games. Visitors were shown consoles of different generations — from Dendy, Sega Mega Drive, PlayStation One, and NES to modern gaming competitions and internet challenges.
For guests, a medieval fencing area was also organized, where those interested could participate in safe training duels.
The final day will conclude the four-day program of Comic Con Astana 2026, which brought together pop culture fans, cosplayers, artists, representatives of creative industries, and digital content creators.
