In the third minute, Tunisia defender Ellyes Skhiri scored an own goal. In the seventh minute, Dutch striker Brian Brobbey found the net. In the 54th minute, Tunisian striker Hazem Mastouri pulled one back. In the 62nd minute, defender Jan Paul van Hecke scored the third goal for the Netherlands.

Later, Japan drew with Sweden and advanced to the World Cup knockout stage. Anthony Elanga scored for Sweden, while Daizen Maeda equalized for Japan.

Japan collected five points and finished second in the group. The Netherlands topped the group with seven points. Sweden placed third with four points, and Tunisia finished last with zero points.
