The supercomputer of analytical company Opta Analyst has named the France national team as the main favorite of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the computer, the probability of the French winning the tournament is 18.66%.

The top three also include Argentina (16.26%) and Spain (13.47%).

The top 10 includes England (9.68%), Brazil (6.47%), Netherlands (5.11%), Portugal (4.74%), Germany (4.36%), Colombia (3.19%), and Norway (2.95%).

France defeated Senegal (3:1), Iraq (3:0), and Norway (4:1) in the group stage. In the round of 32, the French will face Sweden.

Earlier, Opta had named Spain as the favorite, and after the second round of the group stage, Argentina.

Previously, Kursiv reported that the 2026 World Cup playoffs start today, June 28, 2026, in Los Angeles. The historic match will begin at 22:00 Moscow time (00:00 Kazakhstan time, on the night of June 29).
