Goals in Barcelona and Paris
The matches in Barcelona and Paris stood out, with a total of 13 goals scored. The hosts, Barcelona and PSG, dominated their timid opponents.
Brazilian Raphinha scored a double for the Catalans against Dutch side Feyenoord. German Karim Adeyemi, Lamine Yamal (who scored a stunning free-kick), and Raphinha's compatriot Gabriel Jesus each added a goal.
At the Parc des Princes, the current Champions League holders dismantled Slovan Bratislava. Spaniard Ferran Torres scored three goals in a row from the 31st to the 57th minute. Before him, Ousmane Dembele scored twice. Fabian Ruiz sealed the win late on.

Tournament Format
The opening round of the Champions League 2026/27, which began the day before, will conclude tomorrow. Each of the 36 teams will play 8 matches against different opponents in the league phase. The top 8 clubs in the overall standings will advance directly to the Round of 16.
Teams finishing 9th to 24th will enter play-off matches for a place in the Round of 16. Clubs ranked 9th to 16th will be seeded in the play-off draw. Teams finishing 25th to 36th are eliminated.
Kazakhstan's Kairat, which played in the Champions League last season, failed to qualify for the main tournament this time. Rafael Urazbakhtin's side will start their Conference League campaign with an away match against Riga on October 15.
