Drones attacked a tanker of American company Chevron near Novorossiysk, which was transporting oil via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to Reuters, the Yasa Polaris tanker was attacked by unmanned aerial vehicles as it approached the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. However, the drone strikes did not affect the company's operations or oil exports.
"The crew is safe. We are in contact with the vessel operator and the relevant authorities," company representatives said.
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov commented on the attack. He called it "a manifestation of terrorist actions by the Kyiv regime against international energy infrastructure." When asked how Russia would respond to the situation, Peskov briefly replied: "It will continue the special military operation."
