A 2000 Chevrolet Astro minivan has been listed for sale in Kazakhstan at 23.5 million tenge. The owner claims that only 20 such minivans, modified by the American studio USA California Custom, were produced worldwide. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to the seller from Petropavlovsk, he has owned the minivan since 2018 and is the second owner according to the technical passport. The mileage is 75,000 km, a 4.3-liter engine is installed under the hood, and the drive is all-wheel. The author of the ad also claims that before his purchase, the car had been sitting for more than 15 years.

A roof box-tent is installed on the roof. In addition, the seller offers three sets of wheels, including original 2000 rims, and promises the buyer a donor car of the same model.

He estimates the additional sets and bonuses at more than 7 million tenge, and puts the total cost of the project at around 29 million tenge.

Chevrolet Astro was produced from 1985 to 2005. Its twin, the GMC Safari, was sold alongside it. Unlike the first Chrysler minivans, GM chose a rear-wheel-drive layout for the Astro and later offered all-wheel drive. The main engine was a 4.3-liter V6.

The "Astro" was also used to create campers and comfortable versions. Among the companies involved in such conversions were Starcraft, Mark III, and Regency. However, no confirmation that USA California Custom produced a series of exactly 20 vehicles could be found in open sources, although there are mentions of the brand's modifications of the model.

In the comments to the publication, the price is mainly discussed: some consider it inflated, while others pay attention to the set of spare parts and wheels. The owner himself responds that he is in no hurry to sell and is ready to part with the car if a worthy connoisseur is found.

Earlier, Kursiv Auto reported how a resident of Taraz turned a Volkswagen T2 into the "Mystery Machine" from "Scooby-Doo."
