In a Utah court this week, Charlie Kirk's widow and parents are expected as prosecutors seeking the death penalty will argue their case against the man charged with killing the conservative activist. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

Tyler Robinson is accused of fatally shooting Charlie Kirk on Sept. 10, 2025, after a speech at Utah Valley University in Orem. Kirk was the founder of the conservative youth organization Turning Point USA.

A preliminary hearing for Robinson was held on June 12, 2026, before Judge Tony Graf. Prosecutors are pursuing the death penalty. The next hearing is scheduled for this week.

Charlie Kirk died on Sept. 10, 2025. Flowers were placed at a makeshift memorial at Turning Point USA headquarters. President Donald Trump embraced Kirk's widow, Erika Kirk, at a memorial on Sept. 21, 2025, in Glendale, Arizona.
