The government presented a report on budget expenditures on the social sphere for the first half of 2026. To increase the solidarity pension and all pension payments by 10%, about 4.9 trillion tenge was allocated starting from January. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

These funds made it possible to support about 2.6 million Kazakhstani pensioners. As a result of indexation, the minimum total pension increased to 105 thousand tenge, the maximum to 238 thousand tenge, and the average was 198 thousand tenge.

In addition, the funded pension system shows stability: the total volume of savings in the Unified Accumulative Pension Fund (UAPF) reached 25.7 trillion tenge, covering about 69% of the employed population, the government reported.

The government also noted the strengthening of measures to support families and children in 2026. To support young parents, the state paid a one-time childbirth allowance to 149.8 thousand people in the amount of 29.6 billion tenge. Another 131.2 thousand non-working parents receive monthly childcare assistance for children up to one and a half years old. The total amount of these payments was 21 billion tenge.

Special attention is paid to supporting mothers with many children: state benefits are received by 248.7 thousand awarded mothers, who were paid 43.9 billion tenge. And monthly support for 636 thousand large families amounted to 303.3 billion tenge, the government said.

Payments to families who have lost their breadwinner and for other social reasons were received by 896.3 thousand people. The total amount of payments was 332.7 billion tenge. Including 92.7 thousand citizens with disabilities received 25 billion tenge, and 66 thousand families who lost their breadwinner received 19.1 billion tenge.

In addition, the social insurance system for job loss paid 236.5 thousand people 62.6 billion tenge. During pregnancy and childbirth, 70.1 thousand women received 72.7 billion tenge, and for childcare, 431 thousand recipients received 153.3 billion tenge, the government reported.

Targeted social assistance was assigned to 196.4 thousand people from 36.4 thousand families. Its total amount was 17 billion tenge. The majority of recipients are children and large families. In families receiving targeted social assistance, 61 thousand preschool children were assigned an additional monthly payment. Benefits for 545 thousand citizens with disabilities increased by 10% and averaged 87 thousand tenge, the government noted.
