Caspian Beverage Holding earned 106 million tenge in profit in 2025, with revenue of 5.8 billion tenge. The company is owned by entrepreneur and Almaty maslikhat deputy Almat Akhmetov. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
The producer of popular beverages Caspian Beverage Holding lost 58% of its profit in 2025 compared to the previous year. It amounted to 106 million tenge. At the same time, the company's revenue from the sale of non-alcoholic beverages, on the contrary, increased by 18% – to 5.8 billion tenge.
The cost of sales increased by 38.6% – to 4.4 billion tenge, mainly due to an increase in the cost of the beverages themselves to 4 billion tenge. Selling expenses also increased significantly – by 24%, to 1 billion tenge. This was partly due to a twofold increase in rental costs – to 365 million tenge. Transport costs amounted to 218 million tenge, and salary costs – 214 million tenge. Administrative expenses also increased – by 4%, to 916 million tenge.
The company would have ended the year with a loss if not for other income of 858 million tenge. These mainly include income from providing services to a related party – the company 'Zhigalma' in the amount of 503.8 million tenge. This company owns a plant in the Almaty region where the drink 'Buratino' is produced.
The company has short-term trade and accounts payable of 3.7 billion tenge, of which 3.5 billion tenge is owed to related parties – its trading subsidiaries, as well as the affiliated company 'Zhigalma'.
Caspian Beverage Holding sells non-alcoholic beverages under the trademark 'Buratino', juice-containing drinks under the trademark 'Kompotay', iced tea 'Ai Tea' and energy drink 'Tamga'. Previously, the company produced beer under the brand 'Zhigulevskoye', but now there is no information about its sales in the report.
According to the report, 46% of the company's shares belong to 'Kumisai', and 50% to Almat Akhmetov. Akhmetov is a businessman, chairman of the board of directors of the company and a deputy of the Almaty maslikhat. In turn, the owners of 'Kumisai' are Almas Akhmetov (80%) – probably Almat's brother – and Almat Akhmetov himself (20%). Almat Akhmetov is also the director of the company 'Zhigalma'.
The company's history dates back to 1964, when the food association 'Napitki' was created in Almaty. In 1996, the enterprise was privatized and in 1999 renamed to 'Susyndar'. In 2006, it received a new name – Caspian Beverage Holding. The soft drink plant itself was founded in the 1940s.
In the spring of 2025, it was reported that Caspian Beverage Holding would move its plant from Almaty to the Karasai district of the Almaty region.
