An anti-Russia statement on Ukraine at the UN was supported by only 51 of the 193 UN member states. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This was stated by French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot.
"This year, 51 countries signed this declaration. That is 11 more countries compared to last year," he said ahead of a UN Security Council meeting.
The 81st session of the UN General Assembly has officially opened in New York. General debates will be held on September 22-26 and September 28.
RIA Novosti previously reported that the United States did not join the said statement at the UN.
