Desperate fans in Southeast Asia have lost more than $100,000 to scammers exploiting explosive demand for tickets to BTS's reunion world tour. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.

Vevee, 26, failed to buy tickets on Ticketmaster and turned to a reseller on X, paying $1,200 for four VIP seats. After sending the money, the seller stopped responding. The sum is equivalent to two months of her salary.

In Thailand, 126 fans filed a complaint about scammers offering to help them "wait in line" for tickets. Singapore police have received at least 62 complaints since June 1, with losses exceeding S$68,000. Malaysia reported 28 cases of fraud.

The Arirang World Tour runs through 2027, covering 34 cities. Analysts estimate BTS and label Hybe will earn nearly $2 billion from concerts, merchandise, licensing, albums and streaming. In Asia, demand for tickets exceeds supply by 15 times.

Vevee will try to buy tickets again through official channels. She has been a fan since age 14 and attended a concert alone in Bangkok in 2019.
