Ukraine has begun using drones of British production for strikes on Russian territory. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The Times newspaper, citing a source in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that British drones were used for the first time to strike the main territory of Russia. According to the publication, drones made by two British companies were delivered to Ukraine, and Ukrainian forces are using this weapon for remote strikes.
According to the publication's interlocutors in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, British drones have been used over the past six months in attacks on Russian territory, in particular, to strike oil refineries. Among them is also the Nyan unmanned aerial vehicle, produced by a subsidiary of BAE Systems.
Russia believes that arms supplies to Ukraine hinder conflict resolution, directly involve NATO countries in the conflict, and that they are "playing with fire." Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stated that any cargo with weapons intended for Ukraine will become a legitimate target for Russia.
