The final declaration of the BRICS summit held in New Delhi contains no mention of Ukraine or the Ukrainian conflict. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At the same time, the declaration covers a number of international and regional issues, as well as the development of cooperation between BRICS countries and reform of the global governance system.
BRICS is an interstate association founded in 2006 by Russia, China, India and Brazil. In 2011, the Republic of South Africa joined the organisation. Since the beginning of 2024, a number of other states have joined BRICS.
In 2026, India holds the BRICS chairmanship.
Partnership within BRICS is based on the principles of equality and good neighbourliness – Putin.
