A wildfire near Bordeaux in France has been brought under control, while 1,500 firefighters are battling a separate blaze in Provence. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

Wildfire near Bordeaux

Firefighters in France's Gironde region remained on high alert on Friday, continuing to extinguish flare-ups while residents and volunteers supported emergency crews and families affected by the fire.

On Thursday, July 23, Matthieu Plessis drove through the French town of Le Porge as flames raced along both sides of the road. A week later, Plessis returned to what remained of his ruined property. He lost his home, his bicycle repair business, his vehicles, his tools, and most of his belongings.

Blaze in Provence

Meanwhile, in Provence, 1,500 firefighters are battling a separate blaze. Firefighting helicopters are releasing water over a wildfire near Correns. An Airbus helicopter dropped a full Bambi Bucket of water over a firezone near Blagon.
