As a major wildfire continues to threaten communities in southwestern France, the city of Bordeaux has converted its exhibition center into an emergency shelter for evacuated residents. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Associated Press.

French authorities ordered nearly 4,000 more people to evacuate on Tuesday from tourist sites on the Atlantic coast as returning heat threatened firefighters' fragile hold on a vast wildfire west of Bordeaux.

Residents of 10 towns affected by the devastating wildfires in Spain have begun returning home after evacuation orders were lifted.

As raging wildfires tore through a Spanish village last week, horse breeder Juan Manuel Loro swung into action to help a friend save his prized studs.

Hundreds of firefighters backed by military emergency brigades and water-dropping aircraft continued battling several major wildfires in Spain on Tuesday.
