Blogger from Petropavl Irina Antonenko commented on the death of 14 servicemen during a live broadcast on TikTok on the day of national mourning in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
During the live broadcast, the 42-year-old resident of Petropavl stated that she did not know the deceased servicemen personally and did not believe she should change her life because of what happened.
"What nonsense? Every day someone dies everywhere, should I go into mourning now? I didn't know these people at all. Why pretend, I don't know these people! My life continues, to suffer for someone it should be at least my son or husband, or some close friends. And you just take and pretend to be who knows what," the blogger said during the stream.
After the broadcast, police in the North Kazakhstan region identified the woman. In a response to Kursiv's request, the regional police department said they conducted a preventive talk with her.
"Police officers identified a 42-year-old resident of Petropavl. A preventive talk was conducted with her, and an official warning was issued about the inadmissibility of continuing behavior with signs of anti-social nature. The woman was warned about responsibility for actions creating conditions for committing offenses. Later she publicly apologized by posting a video address," the police commented.
Police also explained that they did not find elements of a crime in the blogger's statement.
After the police warning, she published a video with apologies.
Earlier, Kursiv wrote that 21-year-old Shymkent resident Nurakhmet Berdibay was arrested for 10 days after a live broadcast on TikTok. According to police, while answering a viewer's question about the day of mourning, he made statements that the court regarded as a manifestation of disrespect for society.
