In Astana, blogger Erbolat Zhanabilov was detained after a domestic conflict. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
On 30 September, a video circulating online caught the attention of police. In it, blogger Elmira Tolegenova described a conflict with her husband. In the video, she showed her reddened hand.
Law enforcement officers who arrived at the scene established that a family conflict had occurred between the spouses. Although the wife refused to file an official statement, police drew up an administrative protocol against Zhanabilov. He was placed in a temporary detention room.
It was also established that the blogger had previously, on 28 August, violated the requirements of probation control by not being at home after 22:00. Materials regarding this violation have also been sent for court consideration.
