The Ministry of Defense announced the results of the spring conscription campaign. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
This spring, more than 21,000 citizens aged 18 to 27 were conscripted. Among them, over 11,000 joined the Armed Forces, over 7,000 joined the National Guard, about 2,000 joined the Border Service of the National Security Committee, 400 joined the Ministry of Emergency Situations, and 300 joined the State Security Service.
Conscription notices were sent via SMS and personal accounts on the eGov portal. Procedures for deferment and exemption were automated.
Service in the Armed Forces allows young people to acquire in-demand working specialties. A credit holiday is provided during service. Those who excel in combat training can enter universities on state grants, while others can apply for paid departments without the Unified National Test.
