The Ministry of Agriculture named the regions where high-quality wheat was harvested this year. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Currently, 96% of sown areas have been harvested. The average yield was 15.2 centners per hectare. In the North Kazakhstan region, 17 centners per hectare were obtained.

Vice Minister Azat Sultanov said at today's government meeting that grain quality is high this year. "This year, high grain quality is observed. More than 72.4% of wheat delivered to elevators belongs to the third class. In addition, more than 47% of it has a gluten content exceeding 28%," he said.

According to him, in some regions the quality indicators of wheat are significantly higher. "For example, in Akmola region, the share of third-class wheat reaches 90%, and the share of Hi-Pro category wheat reaches 70%," Sultanov noted.

Already, 1.1 million tons of wheat have been exported. This is 13% more compared to the same period last year.
