According to the Prosecutor General's Office, the allocated funds are directed toward strengthening the material and technical base of penal system institutions in the city. These include facility No. 5, where Kuandyk Bishimbayev is serving his sentence.
For example, at facility No. 5, where Kuandyk Bishimbayev is serving his sentence, the supervisory authority has introduced a modern video intercom surveillance system. If a convicted person needs to go outside, they press a call button.
The duty unit officer identifies them via video link and clarifies the purpose of the exit. Only after confirmation does the door open, and after the person passes through, the door closes automatically.
"This system makes it possible to prevent the uncontrolled movement of convicts, strengthen the access control regime and raise the level of safety for staff and the facility," representatives of the Prosecutor General's Office reported.
Recall that Kuandyk Bishimbayev was sentenced to 24 years of imprisonment on charges of murdering his common-law wife Saltanat Nukenova. Former minister Kuandyk Bishimbayev is serving his sentence at facility No. 5 of the Penal Enforcement System in the city of Stepnogorsk, Akmola region.
This was stated in a response from the Committee of the Penal Enforcement System to Zhanna Orazbakova, who served as a defense lawyer for the Nukenov family.
