Schools are introducing an adaptation program for first-graders taught in Kazakh. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

According to the order of the Ministry of Education, the program is aimed at developing practical communication skills. It is implemented through extracurricular activities or class hours using real-life communicative situations. The program is used in secondary education organizations, in the family, and in public places.

The program can be introduced at school at the request of parents or on the recommendation of a teacher with the written consent of parents. To launch the program, the school must have: - an approved list of students; - an approved plan and schedule for implementing the program; - a favorable educational environment conducive to the development of students' communication skills; - educational and methodological materials corresponding to the goals and objectives of the program.

Under the program, not only teachers but also parents should work together.
