The second round of the first division of the Kazakhstan football championship started with confident victories for the favorites. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Shakhter Karagandy, thanks to goals by Andrey Ulshin and Rifat Nurmugamet, brought three points from Ekibastuz – 2:0. After the win, Andrey Finonchenko's team topped the standings. However, soon Kairat-Zhastar displaced the 'orange-blacks' from the summit.
Zhora Arutyunyan's team crushed their peers from Kaspiy-M with a tennis-like score of 6:0, featuring a brace by Evgeny Petrik, two penalties, two red cards, and an own goal.
