On July 10, five forest fires were recorded on the territory of the state forest fund of the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Ecology, the fires occurred in Kostanay and Pavlodar regions, as well as in the Katon-Karagay State National Natural Park, the Semey Ormany State Forest Nature Reserve, and the Zhasyl Aimak Republican State Enterprise.
According to preliminary data, the fire sources were detected by the aerial patrol service and early detection systems of the Republican State Enterprise "Kazaviaormankorgau". After that, forest guards and airborne firefighting teams promptly began containment work. Special equipment and helicopters were involved in extinguishing the fires.
As a result of the measures taken, all fire sources were completely extinguished in a short time without spreading to the surrounding area. The ministry warned that extreme heat is expected in a number of regions of the country in the coming days and urged vacationers in nature to strictly comply with fire safety requirements during the high fire danger period.
