On June 26, 13 forest fires were recorded on the territory of the state forest fund of the country. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources, fires occurred in forest areas of four regions:
- 01Akmola region — 1 fire;
- 02East Kazakhstan region — 1 fire;
- 03State forest nature reserve "Semey Ormany" — 9 fires;
- 04State forest nature reserve "Ertis Ormany" — 2 fires.
All fire sites were timely detected and promptly localized by the joint efforts of forest protection and the Republican State Enterprise "Kazaviaormankorgau".
The Ministry reminded that thunderstorm fronts passed over the territories of the Semey Ormany and Ertis Ormany reserves. In this regard, forest protection is operating in a heightened readiness mode.
The Ministry calls on residents of the regions to follow safety rules and treat nature with care during the fire-hazardous period.
