In June of this year, 125 corruption-related offenses were recorded in Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the National Security Committee, the recorded corruption facts include: bribery – 97; fraud – 9; abuse of official powers – 8; embezzlement – 7; official forgery – 3; abuse of authority – 1. 67 individuals are suspected in criminal cases.
Also, investigations of 149 criminal cases were completed, of which 129 were sent to court. The total amount of damage from completed criminal cases amounted to 4.7 billion tenge. Of this, 2.1 billion tenge were returned to the budget. Additionally, property worth 971.4 million tenge was seized, the committee reported.
