The National Security Committee of Kazakhstan (KNB) has published the results of operational search activities conducted in 12 regions to suppress illegal arms trafficking. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
Police authorities also participated in the activities, while prosecutors were responsible for coordination.
The official statement says: "A total of 56 weapons were seized, including 4 assault rifles, 34 rifles, 18 pistols, 13 grenades and 314 rounds of ammunition."
Currently, pre-trial investigations have been initiated into each fact.
