The hacker attack on the Binance cryptocurrency exchange did not affect Kazakhstan's crypto assets. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The National Bank commented on the cyberattack on the Binance platform, one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world. "The said incident did not affect crypto assets," the National Bank told Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The regulator noted that it continuously monitors the digital assets market and takes necessary measures to ensure their preservation and security.
Recall that on the night of Friday, Binance founder Changpeng Zhao reported that the platform had been compromised. Nevertheless, he stated that users' funds are safe. Following the incident, the crypto exchange temporarily suspended deposit and withdrawal operations.
