Special emergency supply boxes for tourists are being installed at the new modular buildings of the control posts of the state institution "Kazselenzashchita" of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in high mountain areas. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
The boxes, marked in three languages, are intended for people who have lost their way in the mountains and reached the MES control post. The emergency supply is designed to temporarily provide a person with necessary resources.
It contains 10 liters of drinking water, one bundle of firewood, a first aid kit, a two-day food ration, as well as several types of food. These include three types of porridge, two types of stew, dried bread, and salt.
Additionally, the boxes include matches and a can opener. The creation of such emergency supplies is an additional measure aimed at ensuring safety in high mountain areas.
In case of an unforeseen situation, a tourist can use the necessary food, water, and heating means until help arrives or communication with relatives is restored.
