Legendary director George Miller, creator of the cult Mad Max franchise, recorded his first official video address to Kazakhstan. He addressed the organizers and guests of the Drive Forum Great Orda auto and motorcycle tourism festival, which will take place in Konayev. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
In his message, the Oscar winner said he was pleased to learn that the Mad Max universe inspired the organizers to create the festival.
"The true spirit of the Mad Max story is not only about cars and desert roads, but also about freedom, courage, and determination to move forward despite everything. I wish each of you new friends and wonderful adventures – unforgettable and inspiring in every way. See you on the road!" Miller said in his official message.

The Drive Forum Great Orda festival will take place from July 24 to 26 on the shore of the Kapchagay Reservoir in Konayev. Organizers promise an atmosphere of a post-apocalyptic world reminiscent of the Mad Max universe.
The festival is expected to gather over 1,500 participants. Travelers and auto tourism enthusiasts from Kazakhstan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, and other countries will attend. Among the foreign guests will be an organized group from Cyprus. The project's partner is the international team MadWay Rally.
"The festival connects the culture of ancient nomads and traditions of the Eurasian steppe space with modern trends. The project aims to boost expedition tourism and develop the city of Konayev as a multifunctional resort and event cluster. In the future, Drive Forum GREAT ORDA aims to become the main Central Asian hub for fans of large-scale themed festivals, motorsports, and historical reenactment, capable of competing with the world's largest analogues," Kazakh Tourism summarized.
