A fire in a two-story restaurant building on Tlendiev Street in Besagash village, Talgar district, Almaty region, has been fully extinguished. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

According to updated data from the emergency services, the fire area amounted to 460 square meters. Firefighting was complicated by a high fire load and rapid spread of flames.

"Employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations took necessary measures to localize and eliminate the fire," the ministry reported.

About 50 emergency workers and 20 units of equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire. Volunteers from "Aul Kutkarushylary" also worked at the scene.

There were no casualties as a result of the incident. The cause of the fire is being established.

Earlier, the Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that by the time the first fire crews arrived, the fire had engulfed the entire restaurant building. The fire was assigned an increased call rank.

At the time of rescuers' arrival, there were no visitors inside the building.

During extinguishing, emergency workers removed two gas cylinders with volumes of 50 and 27 liters, as well as an oxygen cylinder with a volume of 50 liters, from the restaurant.

The spread of fire to neighboring structures was prevented.
