Berik Asylov has been reappointed as Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
By decree of the head of state, Berik Nogaiuly Asylov was appointed to the position of Prosecutor General of the Republic of Kazakhstan, according to a statement from Akorda.
What is known about Berik Asylov
Berik Asylov has been working in the prosecutor's office since 1991. He headed prosecutor's offices in several regions of Kazakhstan. Since March 2019, he served as First Deputy Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan. On March 3, 2022, he became Prosecutor General of Kazakhstan. Since July 1, 2026, after the new Constitution of Kazakhstan came into force, he has been reappointed to this position.
