The first loan under the Bereke program was issued to farmers in the Akmola region, the regional akimat reported. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

The new programs Igilik and Bereke have been launched. They are aimed at developing livestock farming for 2026-2030. Under these programs, funds can be obtained for imported pedigree livestock at an annual rate not exceeding 6% for up to 7 years.

The Akmola region was one of the first to complete the necessary organizational procedures among the regions. The first borrower under the Bereke program is Ereymentau Astyk 2014 LLP, operating in the village of Nizhny Togai in the Ereymentau district.

Several years ago, investors purchased and restored an abandoned production base at their own expense. The enterprise is engaged in small livestock breeding and plans to expand the fattening area to hold up to 10,000 heads at a time, the akimat said.

Currently, the farm has about 1,000 heads of livestock. The 2 billion tenge received under the Bereke program will allow the enterprise to develop. Under the Bereke program, 150 pedigree rams of the meat breed Dorper will be purchased. The livestock is planned to be delivered from Australia by air.

We will raise the young animals to the required commercial condition and then sell them under export contracts, said Marat Yermakhanov, executive director of Ereymentau Astyk 2014 LLP.
