Six families have been left homeless in the village of Belbulak, Almaty region. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Due to strong winds on June 28, 26 people are now sheltering in various places. The strong wind felled a dense tree, which broke an electrical wire. The broken wire fell onto the roof of a residential building, causing a fire.

Kenzhe Nusipova, a resident of the burnt house, said: "A day before the incident, I went to the akimat and wrote an application to cut down the trees in the yard. Because earlier one of those trees fell and destroyed the roof of my bathhouse."

Currently, measures are being considered to assist the affected families.
