Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov held a meeting on the progress of preparations for the heating season. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

At the meeting, the head of government said that personal responsibility is envisaged for regional akims in areas where the heating season did not start on time.

"Today, preparation for winter is the most pressing issue. But to this day, work on preparing heating systems has still not been completed in full. Therefore, I instruct akimats to carry out active work in this direction. If the heating season does not start on time, personal responsibility of akims will be envisaged," the prime minister said.

Bektenov instructed the Ministry of Energy, together with the company "Kazakhstan temir zhol," to take measures for the timely delivery of coal and fuel oil to energy facilities and the population.

The head of government recalled that the volume of financing in this area has been significantly increased, and now it is only necessary to work actively and keep the situation under careful control.
