Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov ordered the organization of additional flights at affordable prices during the summer period. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At today's government meeting, the issue of tourism development was discussed. The Prime Minister specifically noted that the shortage and affordability of air and rail tickets during the summer cause concern.
"The Ministry of Transport, together with airlines and Kazakhstan Temir Zholy, should take measures to increase the number of flights and seats at affordable prices to popular resort destinations for vacationers," Bektenov said.
The public has been complaining to the government about difficulties in transport connectivity to popular and remote tourist destinations. It is worth noting that starting this year, schoolchildren can enter national parks for free.
