Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has instructed to improve the quality of services in the tourism sector. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Currently, at the height of the tourist season, there is a severe shortage of places. As a result, people are forced to use unequipped recreation areas. Regional akimats must urgently ensure appropriate infrastructure for camping sites or areas for tents and motorhomes, Bektenov said at today's government meeting.

In this regard, the prime minister also recalled the experience of countries with developed tourism industries. There, the quality of recreation is determined not only by comfortable hotels or diverse tourist routes and excursion programs, but also by the professional level of specialists who provide daily services to visitors. This is also directly related to the hospitality of local residents, the prime minister said.

The Ministry of Tourism, akimats and tourism companies should focus on improving service quality. It is the quality of service that directly affects the attractiveness of the tourism sector and the country's reputation, Bektenov said.
