Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has sharply criticized the work of the head of Samruk-Energy. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At today's government meeting, Bektenov recalled that last week the Minister of Energy visited Almaty and inspected the second and third combined heat and power plants (CHP).
"The situation at the third CHP is not good, the pace of work is very low. If you do not finish by the end of the year, your personal responsibility will be strictly considered. This situation must be stopped," Bektenov said.
It is noted that large-scale modernization work is underway at CHP-2 and CHP-3 in Almaty. Under the president's instructions, the facilities must be converted to natural gas.
