Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Olzhas Bektenov at a meeting of the Board of Directors of Samruk-Kazyna instructed the fund to focus on fulfilling the tasks set by President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev to ensure economic growth. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.

"The Head of State instructed to increase efforts to ensure sustainable development of the country. The President has set tasks for economic growth, development of transport and logistics, energy, and digital infrastructure. In strengthening the country's infrastructure framework, a significant role is assigned to the Samruk-Kazyna Fund. All responsible state bodies, including the Fund's management and group companies, need to concentrate their efforts and resources as much as possible and immediately begin this great work," Bektenov said.

Chairman of the Fund's Management Board Nurlan Zhakupov reported that over the past three years, more than 35 investment projects worth a total of 3.3 trillion tenge have been completed. In 2026, it is planned to complete another 16 projects for the same amount.

Among them are the construction and modernization of railway infrastructure, launch of a gas processing plant at Kashagan, commissioning of new energy facilities, construction of a data center in Kosshy, laying of a fiber-optic communication line along the bottom of the Caspian Sea, and launch of a supercomputer cluster.

Following the meeting, the Prime Minister instructed to ensure timely implementation of investment projects, strengthen control over compliance with their deadlines, and increase the share of local content in goods, works, and services.
