At today's government meeting, the issue of road safety was discussed, and Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov issued a strict warning to Darkhan Imanashev, chairman of the national company KazAvtoZhol. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At the meeting, Darkhan Imanashev, chairman of the national company KazAvtoZhol, reported on the work done. According to him, thanks to new technologies introduced on republican roads, the number of road accidents has recently decreased by 10%.
"In the eight months of this year, compared to the same period last year, the number of deaths in road accidents decreased by 14%, and the number of injured decreased by 11%. During this period, traffic intensity on republican roads increased by an average of 30%. That is, despite the increase in traffic flow, the number of road accidents decreased," said Imanashev.
However, Bektenov was not satisfied with the company head's report.
"Your report is good, but there are too many unresolved problematic issues. All the shortcomings noted by the President directly concern your work as well. Therefore, there is a problem with the quality of roads, the situation needs to be corrected. Correct it, or other people will deal with this work. Did you hear?" said the Prime Minister.
Imanashev replied briefly: "Accepted."
