Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov ordered strict measures against owners of vehicles that make loud noise at night. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
At today's government meeting, issues related to road traffic were considered. Bektenov then asked Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov what measures are being taken regarding vehicles that make loud sounds at night.
"We have discussed the problem of motorcycles and cars that make loud noise with you several times. Very strict measures must be taken against them. Otherwise, in the middle of the night they disturb people and do not let them sleep. What work is being done?" the prime minister said.
According to Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov, 372 such cases have been identified since the beginning of the year. All of them were brought to administrative responsibility.
"55 people were arrested, cars and motorcycles were placed in impound lots," the minister said.
Bektenov particularly emphasized the need to use arrest as a strict measure.
"Not a fine, they must be arrested," the prime minister said.
