Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov instructed to improve the system of social assistance so that it is provided only to those in need. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Earlier, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev repeatedly stated the need to direct social assistance to those truly in need. At yesterday's meeting of the Parliament chambers, special attention was paid to this issue.

At today's government meeting, the Prime Minister gave instructions on further improving the social assistance system. "In general, the country has formed a multi-level and targeted social assistance system. Assistance should be provided only to those truly in need. All basic social guarantees of the state are preserved. The Ministry of Labor needs to continue systematic work using digital tools," said Bektenov.

Currently, there is a methodology for assessing the well-being of each family using a digital card. Next, digital profiles of households will be formed in the eGov Mobile application and integration with banks, the Ministry of Finance, and credit bureaus will be carried out. As a result, it will be possible to take into account the real income, expenses, and financial situation of families.
