Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov has ordered disciplinary action against the deputy akim of the Abai Region for failing to start the heating season on time, speaking at a government meeting. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.
According to the government, heat has now begun to be supplied in 11 regions.
"The heating season started according to plan. In the southern and western regions, heat is supplied depending on the approved schedule and weather conditions. I had instructed that heat sources and networks be prepared by October 1. All but one region fulfilled this task on time," Bektenov noted.
According to him, heating networks were not prepared on time only in the city of Semey.
In this regard, the prime minister ordered that the deputy akim of the Abai Region overseeing this sector be held disciplinary accountable.
Earlier, Bektenov warned that akims of regions where the heating season did not start on time would bear personal responsibility.
