Residents of Bekbolat village in Almaty region have complained about the quality of drinking water. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Sputnik Kazakhstan.

Although the situation in the village, located at the foot of the mountains, is generally stable, drinking water has been the main problem for several years. According to residents, the pipes are badly worn and often burst. "When a pipe bursts, the akimat warns that the water will be turned off. When it rains, muddy water flows," say the villagers.

However, they positively assess the work of the village akim. "We didn't see the previous akim. He tries to solve the water problem; if a pipe bursts, he is there with us. Only in recent years has the water problem caused difficulties," the residents say.

A Sputnik Kazakhstan correspondent listened to the complaints of the village residents.
