Popular Kazakh blogger and actor Bekzat Yeleusizov, known by the pseudonym BekaEasy, recorded a public video address following a scandalous incident at an establishment in Almaty. Earlier, a video circulated on the Kazakh internet showing the drunk blogger speaking rudely to a waiter and humiliating him. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
Yeleusizov admitted that his behavior was disgusting and said he had already been to the police and faced a court punishment.
According to Bekzat, throughout these days he did not hide from the public but tried to cope with the shock, find the participants of the conflict and go through legal procedures.
"I was at the police department, went through court for obscene language and have already paid the fine. All these days I tried to collect my thoughts. This is not just wrong behavior — it is disgusting behavior, real swinishness. I went to the employee of the establishment, spoke to him personally and asked for forgiveness without cameras, so as not to turn this into content," BekaEasy said.
The blogger also addressed the girl who filmed the video. He said he had been looking for her contacts and asked her to get in touch with him for a personal apology.
In his video address, Yeleusizov tried to explain the reasons for his emotional breakdown. The blogger admitted that for the past 10 months he has been in a severe psychological state due to the death of his mother.
"She was my closest person and support. I still cannot come to terms with it. I understand that these are only my problems and no one should suffer because of them, but there were times when I went drinking alone to drown out this trauma," he shared.
Bekzat Yeleusizov emphasized that he recorded the address not to "whitewash" himself in the eyes of the audience. The blogger announced his intention to turn to psychologists and undergo treatment so that in the future he can benefit society and never allow such incidents again.
