A small aircraft crashed into Beijing's tallest skyscraper, CITIC Tower, sending debris to the ground. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing BBC News.

Eyewitnesses told Reuters news agency that an aircraft the size of a car crashed into the CITIC Tower, also known as China Zun, on Friday.

Social media footage captured from a building nearby showed what appeared to be a small plane on the ground. Firefighters were also seen extinguishing a fire in the tower.

CITIC Tower is a 108-storey skyscraper in Beijing's central business district and the headquarters of the state-owned conglomerate CITIC Group, one of China's largest.

It is not known if there were any casualties and there has been no immediate comment from authorities about the incident.
