Nurzhigit, who was injured in a car accident involving former Majilis deputy Bakytzhan Bazarbek, has regained consciousness after 24 days in a coma. The man has come to and recognizes his loved ones, the ex-parliamentarian reported on Instagram. This was reported by Qazaqyia.kz citing Kursiv Media.
"Nurzhigit has come out of his coma and regained consciousness. He recognizes his mother, wife, children, brothers, and other relatives," Bazarbek wrote.
The victim continues treatment in Taraz. According to Bazarbek, specialists from the anesthesiology and intensive care unit, led by resuscitator Gamzat Musaev, are working with him. Nurzhigit still requires intensive treatment. The Ministry of Health is also providing necessary support.
Bazarbek thanked the doctors and Kazakh citizens who supported the victim and his family. He also asked the media not to distort information about the man's condition and not to spread unconfirmed information.

The accident occurred on August 15 on the Western Europe-Western China highway in the Zhambyl region. According to preliminary police information, a Toyota car hit a 36-year-old man who was on the roadway. The victim was taken to intensive care in serious condition.
